Hi.

I’m Derrick Alexander, a creative professional with over 15 years of experience in graphic design, digital media, video production, and marketing communications. Most recently, I served as Senior Director of Creative and Digital Communications for the Texas State University System, where I led strategy and execution across digital, print, video, and web platforms.

Throughout my career, I’ve collaborated with talented teams on a wide range of projects—from major website redesigns and social media campaigns to marketing videos and live-streamed events. My approach to every project is grounded in clarity, consistency, and compelling visual storytelling.

I hold a BFA in Graphic Design and Advertising and a Master’s in Digital Media from Sam Houston State University. My work in video production has earned seven Telly Awards, which I’m especially proud of.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing tennis, and exploring Texas state parks. I live in Hutto, Texas with my wife and our two children.
